1. What is a Comprehensive Vehicle Test?
A Comprehensive Vehicle Test is needed to give buyers and sellers a peace of mind when buying or selling a second hand vehicle. Tajdeed’s comprehensive test ensures if the vehicle is road-safe by detailed inspections and road tests. This test will notify buyers or sellers of any concern on the vehicle condition after meticulously evaluation by our skilled inspectors.
2. Can Tajdeed offer Valuation Certifiacte?
Yes, Tajdeed now issues Car Valuation certificate that will assist customers in obtaining insureance & loans to buy their dream car. Buyers can us the certificate to get a price of the used car they wish to purchase.
3. What happens if my vehicle registration isn’t renewed on time?
Failure to complete the registration renewal on time may result in a fine, which must be paid before the registration process can be finalized. If the fine remains unpaid three months after the renewal date, the RTA will block the vehicle’s traffic file, and the vehicle may be impounded. Motorists will then need to contact the RTA for further instructions on how to proceed.
4. I've bought a used car from another Emirate. How do I register it in Dubai?

The following documents are needed to transfer ownership of a vehicle:

  • Original vehicle registration card.
  • Vehicle inspection pass certificate.
  • Electronic insurance valid for at least 6 months in the buyer's name.
  • Original Emirates ID and passport copy with valid visa page from both buyer and seller.
  • Electronic proof that any vehicle loan is repaid / mortgage release.

For companies, the following are also required:

  • Trade licence photocopy.
  • Official letter (in Arabic) on company headed paper requesting registration.
  • Letter of Credit Authorization on Form (LCAF).

If there is an Electronic Sale Agreement, then only the buyer needs to attend. Otherwise, both seller and buyer should attend the appointment.

If the car still has number plates: The car can be driven to Dubai, registration completed, and new number plates must be applied for.

If the car no longer has number plates: The car must be transported to Dubai as it cannot be driven without number plates. The new buyer must then complete registration and apply for new number plates.
